Sophia is co-producer and host of the virtual red carpet interviews at The Polys - WebXR Awards, a new annual awards ceremony dedicated to honoring the pioneers of WebXR and showcasing the importance of the growing medium to provide ubiquitous access to immersive content through the web. Accessibility was a recurring theme at the Polys, and anyone with a connected device was able to access the event – which had over 500 RSVPs. The awards show had a series of firsts:
  • It was the first major award created for the WebXR standard.
  • It was the first award show to stream live via Zoom and Rendevous to a “Meta-Multiverse'' of watch parties on four VR Platforms Altspace, Engage, Hubs and Tivoli Cloud via three distribution channels: YouTube, Twitch and DLive.
  • It was the first to also stream the VR watch parties full-circle back into the live streamed show.
  • It is the first major award trophy to be presented virtually and be minted on the Blockchain.
